Changing the "Normal.dotm" file in Word 2007

1 Make sure that in "Folder Options\View" you have checked the box to: show hidden files, folders and drives.

2 Open Word and make the changes you want to have in the "Normal.dotm" file.

3 Save this file to the desktop as "Normal.dotm", then close this file.

4 Using Windows Explorer navigate to:

c:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates

5 Right click on the file you created and move it from the desktop to the "template" folder to replace the original Normal.dotm file
